MAGNUM 2019 TAHBILK MARSANNE

Whether rightly or wrongly, Marsanne is the Tahbilk white that all others are measured against.

Restrained notes of honeysuckle, ginger and dried tangerine peel on top of slight citric fruit characters. The first impact of the palate is the strong acidic backbone which is prominent on the mid-palate and finishes strongly.

Deliciously textural, the richness and palate weight of the Roussanne, combined with the honeysuckle and mineral chalkiness of the Marsanne and fleshy, floral apricot and rose petal Viognier notes are refreshed with a bright lift of acidity on the finish.

A classic example of an approachable yet classic style of Riesling, full of juicy lime and citrus fruits and superb zippy acidity on the finish.

Harvested at full ripeness for texture, and palate-weight reflective of the French Pinot Gris style, our 2021 release brings with it lifted and intense citrus and Nashi pear fruits, elderflower notes and a musk-like savouriness. A clean and palate-cleansing flinty acidity finishes a wine that we consider best enjoyed in the exultation of youth.
