Showing some developing characters of older Marsanne, lemon and pear fruit from it youthful acidity but some textural minerlity from it bottle age. There is still some time for it to mature, one for the cellar.

Tightly woven nose and palate of ginger spice, nashi fruit, lime and citrus notes with a steely and mineral edged acid line, tell-tale honeysuckle and toast characters in the background are indicating the additional complexity that will coming with further cellaring

MAGNUM 2019 TAHBILK MARSANNE

Whether rightly or wrongly, Marsanne is the Tahbilk white that all others are measured against.

Restrained notes of honeysuckle, ginger and dried tangerine peel on top of slight citric fruit characters. The first impact of the palate is the strong acidic backbone which is prominent on the mid-palate and finishes strongly.

Exhibitng fine bottle-age Marsanne characters of honeysuckle and minerality, with the balance of its youthful citrus intensity.

Gold yellow in colour, an intense bouquet of floral and citrus, with honey suckle on the palate with a lasting lifted finish

Stocks of the Tahbilk 2014 Marsanne are no longer available by the individual bottle or dozen.

A richly flavoured palate of citrus, lemon curd, honeysuckle and ginger hints is graced with a strong acid backbone delivering most of that flavour straight over the tongue and down the throat.

Lifted citrus and jasmine florals with honeysuckle and tropical notes with time on yeast lees contributing bready notes. A clean and edgy minerality on a totally refreshing finish completes a delightful sparkling

Lifted citrus and tropical fruits with a clean minerality and hints of honeysuckle, its time on yeast lees has contributed nutty, bready elements into the mix. As is the case with Marsanne, another 6 to 8 years from vintage will see further richness and complexity develop.

Showing bottle-age complexity of ripe citrus, honey-suckle and some elegant minerality. The finish is long with some lingering youthful acidity.

It wouldn’t be Tahbilk without Marsanne. First planted on the Estate in the 1860’s, we have largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide including surviving vines dating back to 1927.

Showing both youthful and complex characters that come with age, grapefruit and toasty aromas with ripe citrus, stone fruit and melon flavours on the palate. A mellow acidity providing a long and refreshing finish.

Fresh and zesty lemon and lime, pear and guava fruits alongside apple blossom and jasmine aromas. Savoury and mineral touches on the palate.

Grapefruit zest and citrus floral aromas that follow to a lively mineral palate of pear, Granny smith apple and lemon and lime acidity driven finish.

Offering lush tropical and citrus marmalade characters with sweet honeysuckle touches; a fresh and mineral-like grape acidity on the finish allows the delightful sweetness to shine through without being cloying.

The nose and palate exhibit the classic Tahbilk Marsanne characters of citrus, honeysuckle and orange blossom. A flavourful and fresh peach lift is exposed with undertones of apricot, lime and balanced spice from the Roussanne and Viognier.

Rich citrus marmalade and honeysuckle characters along with a bright, cleansing minerality and a long, stylish finish complete this wine.
